What is Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT)?  
 
Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT) is the application of Shock Waves in in the treatment of musculo-skeletal injury using machines which produce "shock waves" of a controlled magnitude. They have been demonstrated to have therapeutic effects such as:
Reduction of pain felt by nerve fibres
Increase of blood circulation in surrounding soft tissues
Beginning of healing process triggered by stem cells activation
